A Powerful Success Habit

One powerful success habit is adaptability- the ability to handle change effectively because life is change. The one thing we can count on for sure- is change. However, most of us naturally have some resistance to change. Our ego selves scream, “wait, hold on, I don’ t like this…” Then we dig in our heels and resist. If we spend a long time in resistance, we hinder self-growth.

Exercise: Reflect on how you approach changes. Ask- how is this change beneficial? Ask- how can I assimilate and adjust most effectively? Ask- what empowering decisions to I need to make? Ask- what do I need to ignore- after all we are the ceo’s of our own lives- and not the master of the universe some things really are not our business.

Warmest,
Sheri

Adapting is not always easy. i do believe adapting can be learned, and is a conditioning of the mind to not only accept the reality around you but, to deal with it in an orderly manner. Taking the negative, extracting the positive, and tossing the rest.

    1. Hi Dave,
I agree that it is a learned skill- and I think it is inspiring that it can be learned… if we struggle with changes- we don’t have to say- this is how I always am… we can grow:) Thanks for your insightful comments. I appreciate you. Sheri

  2. Thanks for your post, Sheri. I find adaptability to be key and necessary to respond to the flow of work and life. One thing that helps me to keep things moving is to define when I need be in the role of ceo and when am the technician and that at times, I need to shift roles, to adapt. Looking forward to following your blog.

    1. Hi Beth,
I agree that it becomes challenging- running a business verses creating and serving… I keep turning inward for intuitive guidance to keep me balanced. Thank you for following my blog- I am following yours as well. Sheri
