Sometimes Valentine’s Day can be a hard day for people -especially if you are single and don’t want to be or you have just experienced a break up. We certainly see the television and movie portrayals of people alone and hating the day or people who are in relationships and still are disappointed by the day. You can shift your paradigm of the day.
Valentine’s Day is a wonderful time to think about the greatest topic on earth… love. Of course, we tend to think about romantic love… but how about love for your neighbor? your community? and love for just having the opportunity to be here at this time experiencing life and all of its surprises?
Extend love out to your world today and notice how uplifted you feel. Give to a favorite charity or give to a new one. Offer loving help to people who are sick or alone.
Be gentle with others and your self.
Finally, if you want to have a great Valentine’s Day… create it… Buy yourself flowers, champagne, a big box of chocolates. Listen to uplifting music. Pamper yourself. Make a commitment to take responsibility for your own happiness.
I truly love and appreciate all of you. Thank you for sharing your heart and your spirit with me.
