Help Small Business Owners- Create the Ripple Effect

My heart breaks when I see people struggling in their small businesses and I always want to help.

Throughout my career, I have offered free introductory coaching sessions to people. Many of these people become my clients and go on to grow their businesses, write books, and see an impact in their lives. And there are often people who do not have the money for business coaching.

Every week, I talk to entrepreneurs (many live in third world countries or areas that are really struggling economically).  

I decided that I want to coach 10 struggling entrepreneurs/small biz owners throughout the globe with my in-depth one on one coaching process- the same process that my clients pay me $3000 for- and I need your help to do it. This process is time intensive and the funding I am looking for ($4700)- covers 50% of the cost of the program for each person for one month. I am donating the rest myself.

My mottos:  Be Free, Be Happy. Be the Inspiration. Be Bold. Boldly pursue a life of meaning and passion.

What We Need & What You Get

The funding for this indiegogo campaign will go toward choosing the 10 entrepreneurs. Plus me working with and coaching with each entrepreneur in Phase 1 of the program and it will cover one on one coaching sessions, in between calls, email support, materials, and communication expenses. The entrepreneurs will be chosen based on this screening process-  a written request and  a one on one interview over the phone or skype. The decision will be based on a criteria including: need, business vision, and skills. No business outcome is guaranteed- coaching is a co- creating process to facilitate and enhance- results depend on individual effort.

The perks that I am giving for donations include the following:

For a $25 donation- an autographed copy of my book Be the Inspiration: 7 Ways to Inspire Your World.

For a $100 donation: get a one year membership in my Your Path to Success Club- which includes 24 group coaching calls, 52 success lessons – one each week, mp3′s, worksheets, etc  (a $1200 value)

For a $1000 donation: get three- one hour-  individual one on one coaching sessions with me over the phone or skype.

If I do not reach my funding goal- I will revise the number of struggling entrepreneurs that can be in this program- but I will proceed and coach the number that the funding allows.

Transcend Old Stories with this Simple Method

Feeling stuck with some limiting beliefs or “old stories” playing around in your head?

You can transcend old stories by using a very simple, yet effective method-  an affirmation:

Close your eyes- put your hand over your heart, take a few deep breathes.

Say “ I am now completely free of all of my old stories. I am transcending them now. I am moving to a higher level of consciousness. I am free now from any limiting beliefs, any old stories that I am consciously aware of and any that are below the surface on the unconscious level. I am completely free right now.”

Did you shift? Use that new sense of freedom to step into action.  Move into action. It is okay to try things and everything does not have to be perfect. You are not going to have a great inspired life if you don’t get out there and act on your inspiration.

Merry Christmas Eve.

One of my favorite Christmas memories is when I was a little kid, our community hosted a Christmas Bazaar every year and it was filled with home made crafts and goodies. One year I saw a home made Raggedy Ann doll- I had to have it- it was so big and so beautiful. Her clothes were perfect. And it was $20 which was a lot of money 34 years ago. I kept asking my mom and she kept saying no. I felt desperate and terrible. I knew I was suppose to have that doll. I cried, then I tried to act grown up and pretend it didn’t matter, but my little heart was breaking.

When I woke up on Christmas- there she was- my Raggedy Ann doll. I was so happy and I kept that doll for years and years well into adulthood. It was a wonderful Christmas Surprise.

Coaching Tip: Be thankful for the blessings you have received in the past. When you feel thankful for a past event, you carry that wonderful feeling of appreciation with you all day. Appreciation is a beautiful energy and helps you be a magnet for positive things occurring in your life.

The Nutcracker Suite has been a tradition for me since I was a little girl. My mother took me to the ballet. I then became a ballet dancer. I took my own daughters to the Nutcracker ballet when they were preschoolers. They became ballet dancers and both performed in several Nutcracker ballet performances. Even though my girls changed interests in high school from ballet to cheerleading, every holiday season seems tied to the Nutcracker ballet. I even have a collection of wooden Nutcrackers, Christmas ornaments, wooden musical jewelry boxes and even snow balls with the Nutcracker theme. I think it is the magical world in the story that is so appealing and the happy ending. The music instantly transports me to a fairy tale world and I feel like a little girl again.

Coaching Tip: Value your traditions and your stories and add some flexibility, too. Eight years ago when we moved 1000 miles away from family and friends, along with cherishing traditions, we had to create some new traditions. Though I love thinking about my holiday memories (my Grandpa always had walnuts that he would crack open with a nutcracker ,he always had chocolate covered cherries at Christmas, and we would stand around the piano and sing), I also know the value of starting new traditions, too. If we think Christmas, the holidays, or any event can only be one way, we set ourselves up for disappointment. For instance, it has been a new tradition for us to go to the Parade of Lights in Denver every year, this year we had a conflict in our schedules and could not go. My son was very sad and then we had a talk about what is important about traditions- and that is the people. Even though we couldn’t go to the parade, we were still together.  Many blessings to you this season.

I am sharing one of my poems that I wrote a few years ago as I was embarking on a new project- it is called Daring Something New

Daring Something New

Committed to being open

Stretching

Growing

My heart trembles

My mind turns

Palms are damp

Fear growls around me

As I try something new- unknown

Part of me wants to give up

Part of me thrills to the challenge

I am on the edge

The verge of choice

Terrified of a mistake

Yet driven to move forward

Slowing down my breathing

Resolve enters my heart

I push on-

daring to dive

into my new adventure

The peace of decision

and rightness enters my heart

I am certain.

It takes courage to try new things and new ideas. Fear does get in the way- yet it is so important for our hearts and our souls to press on. I celebrate and honor your courageous heart today. I celebrate each and every time you took a positive step forward this year. Keep going. Keep moving. Keep believing in yourself, I know I do believe in you.

Today’s Coaching Tip: How to Get and Stay Empowered

In order to be and live empowered every day, you have got to take action and create the feeling that you are in charge of your life. You are the CEO of your own life and the master of your own destiny. This means that you have to step out of any blame game that you have been playing and decide that you are going to take charge of your life and any situations you face. You always have choices.

If you think you are a take charge kind of person- notice areas in your life where you feel like you are “waiting” for someone else’s decision or action. See if there is a way to be more proactive. You will feel better and the more you do this- the more empowered you become.  There is another secret to this- once you take action and make a decision- you have to let go and release the outcome. An example of this is a student who studies very hard for a test and takes every step to be prepared. Once the student takes the test… the outcome is out of that student’s hands. He or she has given a best effort- and in that moment there is empowerment- knowing you did everything you could.

Today’s Coaching Tip: Create Your Own Success Rituals

Every successful person has created rituals to stay on track. Examples of some of my rituals are:

• Writing in my journal every morning
• Lighting candles to celebrate the day- every time I light a candle- I have a short prayer that I say or think to myself.
• Using specific affirmations every day.
• Touching Pomegranate oil to my forehead to bless the day.
• Keeping a stone in my pocket or handbag- every time I touch it- I say “thank you”

These are just a few examples, I have many that I use. The point about the rituals – is that it is a way to remember to keep your mindset and your heart focused on your goals, your happiness, your success.  Today, I have included as your free gift- a worksheet to help you create your own success rituals.
