Quick Steps to Power Up Your Prosperity

Quick Steps to Power Up Your Prosperity

Do you feel a bit stuck or maybe you have been spinning your wheels a bit regarding your goals?

Here is a summary of a quick method (courtesy of Catherine Ponder’s brilliant book- the Dynamic Laws of Prosperity) for freeing up your energy around your goals and get your prosperity consciousness in motion.

  1. Write it down. Write down everything that you want to achieve in a list and put a date by each item. So if it is debt you want to pay down- write down a target date right next to it. If you have a goal to write a book- write it down and put a date by it. Keep going with this list until you have written down everything that is on your radar for goals and put a date. Note: regarding the dates- don’t write a date that you think you can reasonably achieve the goal…write a date that you want to achieve the goal.  The idea is to shake things up. So you might write down dates that make you sweat a little. Go over this list several times every day, reviewing the items and dates. Change the list as you go along if something no longer resonates- or you achieve items.
  2.  Imagine it. Spend some time each day closing your eyes and visualizing yourself with these goals accomplished already. Add feeling to the visualization. Go into a dreamlike state and paint the picture.
  3.  Be Bold. Create affirmations around your goals and boldly declare them. This is not the time to be wimpy. These are your goals. Be bold. Be daring. Think big.  You can also write out affirmations several times.

For people who say, “this sounds too simple, how can it possibly work?”…there are plenty of anecdotal results written in hundreds of books about the power of writing things down, visualization, and affirmations…so why not try something that seems “too simple”? Why does it have to be hard? Let it be easy and flowing.

How to Increase the Success in Your Life

Excerpt from Living Successfully and Joyfully Every Day: 90 Days of Inspiration by Sheri Kaye Hoff

In order to have any measurable success or increase in success in your life, we need to be practicing conscious thinking.

What do I mean when I say conscious thinking? We’ll get to that in a minute.

Before we dive in…do you have your notebook or journal ready? You might want to grab a cup of coffee, soda, or tea. Relax. Enjoy our discussion.

As I am writing, I feel like I am sitting across the kitchen table with you enjoying our beverages and hanging out. How can I feel this way? I know that you need some inspiration right now, so I feel like I know a little bit about you. I also would love to know more about you and you can contact me through email anytime CoachSheri@lifeisjoyful.org

Getting back to your notebook or journal: One of the most important things about the notebook, journal, or three-ring binder is the fact that it provides a measurable tool for you to see your progress.

You will be able to see the growth that you will experience during these next 90 days. If you don’t have the journal/notebook put together for today, that’s okay, just grab a piece of paper and you can transfer your notes over to your notebook or journal later.

It’s important that you complete this piece. If you want to see success over time all you need to do is flip through the pages of your journal/notebook.

Journal Exercise:

Go ahead and put today’s date at the top of your piece of paper –title it, “Conscious Thinking.” Then, think about where you are right now in your life, whatever it is that you are doing, however you are feeling today. Give yourself a score on a scale of one to ten, ten being the highest. You are looking at where you are today.

Reflect on the past couple of weeks, and write down one win that you have experienced. This could be anything. It could be learning how to ski, it could be getting a new client, or it could be finishing a blog, etc. Write whatever gives you that winning feeling. Write down one win.

Below that win, write down the feelings associated with that win. Did you get goose bumps? Did you feel like your heart swelled with the idea of completing the task, or achieving the goal? Re-create the feelings surrounding that win.

There’s a very powerful reason why we are starting your 90 days of inspiration by checking in with where you are right now, and then quickly moving to reflecting on your win. If you were feeling a little bit down, maybe something happened during the day already to get you off kilter, you have the ability to consciously shift your thoughts and feelings.

You are taking where you are right now and then re-creating some success that you have accomplished recently. The main idea is that you are able to shift your feelings through re-creating success. You probably found it to be very easy to tap into those powerful feelings surrounding your win.

This is a process that you can use throughout your day. Most of us really want to live our lives in a conscious, thinking place. We don’t want to let our thoughts float randomly all over the place, and then turn in to a vicious circle, control us and hold us paralyzed, or hold us captive.

The key to getting outside that vicious circle or getting to a more positive thinking place is to first start with being aware of where you are and then note where you want to be.

By checking in, you are being in tune with You. Ask, “Where am I right now?” Then, ask, “Where do I want to be?”  If you are not where you want it to be right now, that’s okay.

The process of reflecting on a win from the last week or two and feeling all those feelings that you had associated with that win helps you to feel better feelings, which in turn helps you move to a better place…a place with a higher energy vibration.

You remember, “Yes! I have experienced success. I have experienced wins”.

You can use this technique at any time throughout the day, and multiple times throughout the day. To get this powerful book Click Here

Coach Sheri

No Tears for Carol: The Discovery and Day to Day Recovery of a Multiple Personality

Carol sent me an email a few months ago and asked if I would read her book … I was unprepared for the depth of emotions I would experience from reading about her unbelievable journey.

In Carol Vaughn West’s story No Tears for Carol, she depicts a life of unimaginable abuse and tragedy she suffered as she was growing up and then illustrates the difference that faith made in her life and her road to recovery. This is a book that is overwhelmingly sad, yet courageous, and eventually triumphant. It shows that through faith in God one can experience renewal and healing.  Reading this book makes me at once appreciative of my life and appreciative of the truth that nothing can really keep one down and beaten- there is always hope and a way.  Thank you, Carol, for sharing your story with the world.

Quick Tips for Effective Meetings

I was recently asked about how to have effective work meetings…I thought I would include my response in my blog…I thought…yep…people might need some quick tips on effective meetings. Spending time in long, drawn out meetings that seem to go nowhere is a big-time stress producer for many people.

Yes meetings can be a problem…
and they can be great.

Meetings are best if there is an agenda for each one…and when people go off on tangents…there is someone to say something like “Can we add that to next week’s meeting…or can that be handled over email?,” etc; and then gently lead the person back to the discussion at hand.

Let’s  say you have…a weekly sales meeting…

You could have an agenda that says (eg)-
Welcome
Status review
Current issues (list any current things that need to be addressed)
Upcoming events
Long term goals (list any big projects that may need status updates)
Training (sales techniques, etc)
Follow up on any unfinished business
Assign tasks based on discussion

I think one hour is best for most weekly meetings…possibly up to two hours depending on topics that need to be discussed. Also, carefully look at who needs to be at the meeting- and only have those people there- who need to be
there.

Another thing to watch about your own meeting contributions…is to carefully weigh what you say… make sure all of your own contributions meet the purpose of the meeting and are not “devil’s advocate” type of contributions- yes logic and questioning are important- but not every issue requires an exhaustive analysis- many people fall into this.

If you are holding the meeting… stick to your agenda…and keep it moving
along.

These tips also work for other types of meetings (masterminds, fundraising, etc).

Wishing you productive and happy meetings.
